— My story

When I first started this blog in early 2025, I had one simple goal – to share my hometown’s artistic heritage with the world.

I’m Ankita Nama, born and raised right here in Bagru, a small town just outside Jaipur in Rajasthan that many people might miss on a map but shouldn’t miss in person.

Growing up surrounded by the rhythmic thud of wooden blocks against fabric, I’ve watched our local artisans transform plain cloth into vibrant masterpieces my entire life.

So, join me on this journey – learn about our craft and help preserve a tradition that has weathered centuries.

Together, we can ensure that when you hear “Bagru,” you’ll think not just of a place but of an art form that continues to thrive against all odds.
